Upcycling a Singapore Airlines 3-seater with Rubio Monocoat

Upcycling, it’s stylish, and ecological and gives unique results. So naturally, it’s a trend that we love! Roger & Sons clearly feel the same way about it, because they set up a unique collaboration with Singapore Airlines. They upcycled original 3-seaters and galley carts from the airline and protected them with Oil Plus 2C.

Retired & repurposed

Just because some Airbus A380 planes were retired, doesn’t mean that it’s the end of their story. Six 3-seaters and a few galley carts were repurposed into a unique project by Roger & Sons. In an exclusive collaboration with Singapore Airlines, they recreated the pieces of furniture with repurposed local African Mahogany from The Local Tree Project. This project rehabilitates abandoned logs that are felled in Singapore, making this a twice-recycled project!

Rubio Monocoat’s Oil Plus 2C Pure was used to protect the furniture, to make sure it stands the test of time and gets to live a long second life.
