Establishment of Muylle-Facon as a manufacturer of mastic.

1962
Launch of the first assortment of wood protection products.

First international expansion.

2000
Development of molecular binding technology by George Barrell, making it possible to create our wood protection Oil Plus 2C in one layer without VOCs.

2005
Worldwide launch of Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus at an international trade fair. Start of the very first branch offices.

2009
Rubio Monocoat USA was incorporated, in Oxnard, CA.

2016
The Rubio Monocoat family is active in 41 countries by now and has over 150 employees worldwide. A second site in Belgium was built to manage the growing demand for Rubio Monocoat products.

Rubio Monocoat USA relocates to Austin, TX, improving logistical efficiency across the country.

2018
Rubio Monocoat obtains the Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort Gold Label for Oil Plus 2C as first in the wood treatment sector.

Oil Plus 2C obtains the GreenGuard Gold certificate, proving that it’s safefor schools and healthcare facilities.
Launch of ecological and VOC free wax cream for outdoors: WoodCream.

Rubio Monocoat partners with veritree, planting trees and replenishing the renewable resource we're so proud our products are a part of.

Launch of DuroGrit, based on sustainable, revolutionary and patented FibreGrit technology. This makes the product very effective for outdoor wood protection, while still being very ecological.
